Happy Chinese New Year!

Chinese New Year, Lunar New Year, Spring Festival. Call it what you will. The fact is, it remains a time in China for travelling. Chinese residents traditionally go to their home town to celebrate the coming year with their families, while expats flock to the tourist attractions in hope that they will be less busy than the rest of the year.

I took the opportunity to travel. Firstly, I went to Chengdu for five days with two friends before we went our separate ways to different cities. I chose to visit Beijing for an extra four days.

I’m going to write about the different attractions I visited, food I tried and places I stayed, but will do this over a few different posts. Stay tuned to hear about my travels and experiences!
